Project Overview

I led content design and UX writing for Texas Farm Bureau Health Plans’ new microsite, helping Texans explore health coverage options and get quotes with confidence. A clear, approachable experience built to make health insurance feel less overwhelming and more human.

The Problem

Users seeking health plan quotes faced a fragmented and confusing experience, with multiple entry points and inconsistent steps across quote processes. The lack of clear, unified user flows made it difficult for visitors to navigate the journey from initial interest to quote submission, increasing drop-offs and frustration. The wireframes below represent different user flow solutions designed to streamline each quote process, simplify decision-making, and guide users smoothly toward completing their quotes.

The Solution

We redesigned the quote experience to be simple and reassuring, guiding users through clear steps and helpful visuals. The visual below shows the live quote flow in action. Because many users felt the plan seemed “too good to be true,” we focused on surfacing the most important details and building in trust signals throughout, helping people feel confident they were exploring a legitimate health plan. After launch, the new experience drove over 14,000 quote submissions and engaged nearly 13,000 unique users, showing strong user interest and trust in the redesigned journey.

Recap

The new quote experience turned confusion and skepticism into clarity and trust. With thoughtful user flows, clear information, and trust-building details, we made it easier for people to explore their options and complete health plan quotes—leading to thousands of successful quote requests post-launch.
